The set is molded in a lively rococo-revival form with white ground, pale blue handles and finials, gilt scroll ornament, and painted romantic figural reserves featuring women and putti in pastoral settings. An attractive decorative grouping with coherent modeling and palette, likely Central European and made for the late 19th- to early 20th-century cabinet market. Minor wear to gilding; the sugar-bowl handle has been glued, and no other chips or cracks were observed.
